Frontiers in Physics is calling for papers for a special issue titled Programmable Elastic Metamaterials for Wave Control and Device Applications.

Frontiers is the third most cited publisher. The aim of this special issue is to provide state-of-the-art studies on programmable metamaterials and their device applications. Topics addressed in this special issue include, but are not limited to: active metamaterials and metadevices, non-Hermitian physics, parity-time (PT) symmetry, smart metamaterials, multifunctional metamaterials, piezoelectric metamaterials, metamaterials for energy harvesting, enhanced sensing, and vibration suppression/attenuation, etc.

Scientists from Toyota Research Institute of North America, Dr. Xiaopeng Li (Future Mobility Research Department) and Dr. Feng Zhou (Electronics Research Department), are honored to be the editors of this special issue. If you are interested in contributing a paper to this Research Topic, and/or to recommend a colleague to participate, please find more information via the link below. The abstract submission deadline is 11 September 2022. We are looking forward to your contribution to this topic.
