ITL Researchers – Takayuki Shimizu, Hongsheng Lu, and Chinmay Mahabal, together with researchers of North Carolina State University, received the Best Student Paper Award at IEEE SPAWC 2023.
This paper proposed a novel high-accuracy vehicle position tracking method using a millimeter-wave vehicular communication system and attention-based deep neural networks. The proposed method is potentially beneficial for scenarios where GNSS positioning is not available or not accurate due to multi-path and line-of-sight blockage (e.g., urban canyons, tunnels, covered/underground parking lots).
