Rini Sherony and Jason Hallman, two of CSRC’s team members, were invited and presented at the 2022 Society of Automotive Engineers Government / Industry Meeting (SAE GIM). The 2022 SAE GIM was held in Washington DC with select sessions broadcast virtually.
Sherony presented her talk “E-scooter Vehicle Interactions Safety Assessment from a Large Scale Naturalistic Driving Data Collection and Analysis in the US.” She presented in the session Pedestrian Safety alongside researchers from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Robert Bosch LLC, Autoliv Americas, Transportation Research Center Inc., and the University of Michigan Medical Center.
Hallman was invited to sit on a panel to discuss “Equity in Crashworthiness Safety.” The session, moderated by researchers from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), included researchers from Volvo Cars, NHTSA, Transport Canada, and the University of Virginia.
